Civil Engineering

About The Course

The B.Tech Program in Civil Engineering covers a wide range of topics focusing on designing, constructing, and maintaining the built environment. During this program, students are exposed to theoretical knowledge through classroom lectures and practical knowledge through lab sessions, site visits, and internships.

Over 51 million people are employed by the construction industry in India, making it the second-largest employer, and it contributes around 9% of the country’s GDP.

The National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP), which the Indian government launched in 2019, aims to invest Rs. 111 lakh crore (approximately $1.5 trillion) in various infrastructure projects nationwide by 2025. This presents a significant opportunity for civil engineers to contribute to the country’s development.

This program offers excellent career prospects. With significant investments in infrastructure development, growing demand for sustainable and eco-friendly infrastructure, and rapid urbanization, civil engineers will have ample opportunities to contribute substantially to India’s development.
