Discipline Committee

The Discipline Committee at Prestige Institute of Engineering, Management and Research (PIEMR) maintains a disciplined environment by upholding rules and ethical standards. It investigates misconduct cases, ensures a safe campus environment, and resolves conflicts among students or with faculty. Additionally, the committee organizes educational programs to raise awareness about discipline, ethics,and responsible behavior. The flow of Discipline committee starts with the reporting of incidents and then proceeds through investigation, decision-making, communication, and documentation steps. Depending on the outcome of the investigation, it branches into different actions taken by the committee, leading to communication and documentation of the case.

Discipline Committee at PIEMR ensures:

  • Ensure awareness of the Discipline Committee’s role through college handbooks, websites, and orientation programs.
  • Offer multiple reporting channels such as online forms, dedicated email addresses, and physical drop-boxes.

Staff Grievances/ Internal Complaint Committee

The Staff Grievance Committee/Internal Complaint Committee at Prestige Institute of Engineering, Management and Research (PIEMR) is established with the objective of addressing grievances and concerns raised by the staff members of the institution. It aims to ensure a fair and impartial mechanism for resolving issues related to employment, workplace environment, and professional conduct.

Staff Grievance/Internal Complaint Committee at PIEMR ensures:

    • A platform for staff members to express their grievances, including but not limited to issues concerning work conditions, interpersonal conflicts, discrimination, harassment, or any other employment-related concerns.
    • Thorough and impartial investigations to ascertain the facts and circumstances surrounding the complaint.
    • Facilitation of dialogue and mediation between the aggrieved staff member(s) and the concerned parties to explore mutually acceptable resolutions.
    • Compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and institutional policies governing staff grievances and internal complaints.
In addition to grievance resolution, the committee proactively identifies systemic issues or recurring patterns that may give rise to grievances. It collaborates with relevant stakeholders to implement preventive measures, raise awareness, and promote a positive work culture conducive to staff well-being and professional growth.

Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) Internal Complaint Committee (ICC)

Prestige Institute of Engineering, Management and Research (PIEMR), Indore, adheres to compliance with the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) Act of India 2013. It is a law that aims to protect women from sexual harassment at the workplace. Sexual harassment is an unwelcome act or behavior of a sexual nature that creates a hostile or offensive work environment for women. The PoSH Act provides a mechanism for reporting, investigating, and resolving complaints of sexual harassment in a confidential and timely manner. Sexual harassment is a violation of human rights and dignity. It affects the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of women and also hampers their professional growth and productivity. PoSH ICC at PIEMR ensures:

  • A safe and secure work environment for all our employees, especially women.
  • Receiving and registering complaints of sexual harassment from any woman employee or student.
  • Conducting inquiries and investigations into the complaints in a fair and confidential manner.
  • Providing assistance and support to the complainant, such as counselling, legal aid, medical help, etc.
  • Recommending appropriate action against the respondent, such as warning, suspension, termination, etc.
  • Submitting annual reports to the employer and the appropriate government authority.
  • Organizing workshops and seminars on gender equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Displaying posters and banners on sexual harassment prevention and redressal.
  • Distributing pamphlets and brochures on the PoSH Act and the ICC.
  • Creating a dedicated webpage and social media handles on the PoSH Act and the ICC.
  • Inviting experts and speakers to share their views and experiences on sexual harassment prevention and redressal.

The Anti-Ragging Committee at PIEMR, Indore is committed to ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all the students. Its primary objective is to prevent incidents of ragging and promote a culture of dignity, tolerance, and mutual respect within the college community. The committee includes representatives of faculty members, teaching and non-teaching staff, senior students, student refresher for addressing any instances of ragging or misconduct.

Anti-Ragging Committee at PIEMR ensures:

  • Implementation and enforcement of anti-ragging policies and regulations.
  • Conducting awareness programs and workshops to educate students about the harmful effects of ragging.

Anti-Ragging Squard

The Anti-Ragging Squad at PIEMR, Indore works in collaboration with the Anti-Ragging Committee to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment for all students. Comprising faculty members, staff, and student representatives of anti-ragging committee, the squad is entrusted with the responsibility of patrolling the campus and promptly addressing any instances of ragging or misconduct.

Anti-Ragging Squard at PIEMR ensures:

    • Conducting regular patrols across the campus to monitor and prevent incidents of ragging or harassment.
    • Responding promptly to reports or complaints related to ragging, conducting preliminary investigations, and alerting the Anti-Ragging Committee for further action.
    • Collaborating with local authorities and law enforcement agencies, if necessary, to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
    • Organizing awareness campaigns and interactive sessions to sensitizing students about the detrimental effects of ragging and promoting a culture of mutual respect and inclusivity.
