In memory of Great Indian Physicist Dr. C.V Raman, the Nobel Laureate, Applied Science & Humanities Department of PIEMR in coordination with MPCST (Madhya Pradesh Council of Science & Technology, Bhopal) conducted plethora of technical events like Science Quiz, Model Making, Innovative idea and Speech Competitions and sessions by Technical Experts from 27-28 February, 2024 to mark the celebrations of National Science Day. 

Dr. Manojkumar Deshpande, Sr. Director PIEMR addressed the students giving insight on the theme of indigenous technology for Viksit Bharat and appreciated efforts of all budding engineers with a belief that application of Science will lead to creativity and innovation.

The first day started with expert session by Dr Umesh A Kshirsagar, Associate Professor IIT Indore who shared his vast experience in research and teaching along with the role of photochemistry in social lives. Followed by a session of Dr Shubhi Saxena, Philanthrophist, Educationist and entrepreneur of Global citizen forum who conducted an interactive expert session on mental health and spirituality. The documentary movie on C.V. Raman augmented the importance of Science for every Engineer. 

On the second day Mr. Amit Agrawal, Principal Architect with 15+ years of experience in IT industry shared his expertise on Industrial and Technology advancement and answered queries about becoming an entrepreneur. This session was followed by demonstration of new drone design helpful in temperature detection and transmits message from distance by Mr Lalit Nagapurkar, an enthusiastic young drone expert. He motivated students to join this upcoming technology to solve challenges faced by our nation.

The two day event concluded with prize distribution ceremony for all the events specifically for innovative idea presentation of edible cutlery, a smart automated car parking system, and utilizing solar energy for saline water distillation.
